Emily O’Keefe is in her last year of pharmacy school at the University of Michigan currently on rotation with Emily Mackler. She’s had a strong interest in oncology throughout her schooling and has been a technician at Rogel’s infusion pharmacy.

  • Some quick pre-work was sent by Dilhara on 3/12 for those who are unable to attend.
  • POQC Publication
    • Analay Perez and Tim Guetterman are officially on board and Analay will be reaching out to POQC members about one-on-one interviews after we hear back from the IRB board.
  • Newsletter Story
    • Tammy Cedo’s story is featured in this issue of the MOQC newsletter, Michele D. Clark’s story will be featured in the next newsletter. Any interested POQC members are encouraged to let us know if they’d like to work on a feature.
    • Printed version of newsletters are sent to POQC members automatically.
  • Spring Regional Meetings
    • These meetings will be held virtually. POQC members are welcome to attend the meeting for their region or others if the dates work better. They can also attend multiples if repetition of information is helpful. Reach out to Vanessa if you’d like help registering or have any questions.

  • Financial Navigation
    • The March 6th training session was a success with positive feedback. The next trainings will be held on April 24 and May 15. POQC is welcome to shadow.
  • Daring Greatly
    • The MOQC Coordinating Center has chosen a new book club book, Daring Greatly by Brene Brown. A physical copy will be sent to POQC members’ homes. Discussion questions about the book will be hosted in The POQC Post
  • POQC Payments
    • Quarter 1 of 2025 is near completion. POQC hours are logged automatically by MOQC project managers. POQC members are welcome to cross-check hours in Quickbooks.
    • The University of Michigan, which houses MOQC, will send POQC members a tax form if payments exceeded $600 for the year. Here is the contact information for questions:

  • Demographics Survey
    • The POQC Recruitment and Retention Workgroup releases a demographics survey every two years. This survey helps direct the course of recruitment efforts so that all experiences have as many voices as possible. The survey is optional.
  • Regionals/Biannual
    • January Biannual feedback from last POQC meeting was shared with the Coordinating Center at Team Meeting.
    • A session on POQC in Your Practice will be held at the June Biannual Meeting. Interested POQC members let Vanessa know and you can be incorporated into development and leading the session.
