MOQC Updates Celebrate! Patient & Caregiver Resources Workgroup has secured a grant for caregiver navigation! Community Foundation of Southeast Michigan awarded MOQC/POQC a $25,000 one-year grant to start to put together a pilot project for the caregiver navigation program. It will involve training navigators at MOQC practices to provide care and support to caregivers. POQC Post The POQC Post looks slightly different with easier navigation features at the top of the page. If you need access to the POQC Post or have any feedback, please let us know. Book club – Daring Greatly, Chapter 1 MOQC is currently reading Daring Greatly by Brene Brown as part of our book club. Each month MOQC discusses the chapter of the month. POQC is welcome to join the book club. Each month we will post in the POQC Post for you all to participate in the online discussion. If any POQC member would like to create the book club posts, please let us know! June biannual meeting – Friday, June 20 – St. John’s Resort, Plymouth, 9:30-4:00 Please contact Dave or Karen (moqc@moqc.org) no later than June 4 if you need a hotel room for the biannual. Review agenda Request – if there are pictures that will be taken at the meeting, please provide time for the POQC picture, NOT during lunch. Voice of the Patient – Medical & Gynecologic Oncology If you have any interest or know of anyone with interest in doing the “voice of the patient or caregiver” for the medical oncology Tobacco Cessation talk, please contact us. MOQC Associate Director Update This is a new physician position in the MOQC Coordinating Center. Two candidates are currently progressing through the interview process.
